Full Body MRI in Glasgow: Silver vs Gold Package — Which One Is Right for You?

More people than ever are choosing a full body MRI as a proactive health check — no radiation, no needles, and a detailed look at what is happening inside your body. But which package should you choose? Here is an honest comparison of our two most popular options.

The Packages at a Glance

Silver — £640 Gold — £1,260
Brain
Abdomen
Pelvis
Whole spine
Scan time ~3 hours ~4 hours
Consultant radiologist report

Who Is the Silver Package For?

The Silver package (£640) screens the brain, abdomen and pelvis — covering major organs including the liver, kidneys, pancreas, bladder and reproductive organs, plus the brain.

Choose Silver if you:

  • Want a general health MOT without a specific symptom
  • Are under 50 with no back or neck complaints
  • Want the most affordable comprehensive screen

Who Is the Gold Package For?

The Gold package (£1,260) adds a complete spine study — cervical, thoracic and lumbar — to everything in Silver.

Choose Gold if you:

  • Have a history of back or neck pain, or a physically demanding job
  • Spend long hours at a desk (disc problems are increasingly common from your 30s onwards)
  • Want the most complete picture in a single visit

What a Full Body MRI Can — and Cannot — Do

We believe in honest medicine. A full body MRI is excellent at detecting structural changes: many tumours, cysts, disc degeneration, organ abnormalities and inflammation. It is not a substitute for cardiac screening (see our Platinum package, which adds cardiac MRI), blood tests, or cancer screening programmes you are invited to by the NHS.

Every scan is reported by a consultant radiologist, and if anything needs follow-up, your report gives your GP exactly what they need to act quickly.

No — we accept self-referrals. You do not need a GP letter to book most MRI scans with us. Our team will discuss your requirements when we call.
